The ingredients to add to this dish are a little unspecific. However, it acts as a great guideline for a quick and tasty curry.
- Vegetable oil
- Ground cloves
- Masala powder
- Onions, roughly chopped.
- Garlic, finely chopped.
- Tin of chick peas
- Bay leaf
- Cinnamon stick
- 3 or 4 tomatoes, remove the skin
- Cream or yoghurt
Heat oil in a saucepan, add to it cumin, coriander, ground cloves, and masala powder. Once the oil & spices start bubbling, add to it the onion and garlic, let these cook for a few minutes.
Drain the chick peas, and add them along with the peeled tomatoes, bay leaf, and cinnamon stick. Add some water and turmeric and leave until its been bubbling for 10 minutes.
Just before serving add some cream or yoghurt, once served add salt & pepper to taste.
